CNC machine upgraded to a modern control: using UMAC (Universal Motion and Automation Controller) and CNC software the machine was able to perform at new high precision requirements. Motion control panel and complete rewiring.
Implementing the high precision coiling control on all the machines, allowed the customer to increase production and substantially improve quality of the rolled band coils resulting in less time per coil, less waste and increased market penetration. All machines in the plant were upgraded and connected to the THCE made PSS -Production Supervision System-. PSS allows user to monitor the production and quality parameter of each machine and each final product.
The customer needed to repair and upgrade the controls on his Servo-Hydraulic Press Brake. THCE provided the complete solution: new electrical system and controls with intelligent user interface allowing the operator to easily program the desired sequence using same graphic symbols. The new control system provided increased safety, faster operation, better working programs management.
From PCB design to system manufacturing and integration, THCE also provided all the necessary software for a user friendly sw interface and file management.
Using advanced techniques for real time connectivity and data plotting, custom algorithms for communication and control, THCE delivered an advanced 3D realtime DAQ system along with the post processing software.
Several boards can be connected to the DAQ software system to provide increased resolution or greater field coverage. The system is autoconfigurable to detect the connected arrays and provides file management of the daq files, rela-time data display and post processing.
The existent hexapod machine (Stewart Platform) could not be used for the desired tests because the control system was not suitable. THCE built the motion control panel, the new firmware for the controller as well as the user interface Using inverse kinematics, the 3D positioning of the center of the platform could be addressed with standard motion control techniques.
This panel controls 2x25 HP servomotors. Equipped with fast response drives and oversized braking unit it allows for fast accelerations and deceleration profiles to be used. Another higher power system was also built for 2x75 HP servomotors.
Developed and built by THCE - along with the user interface and the custom programming, this panel was used for a servo-hydraulic testing system where the applied axial force had to be controlled at the same time as the axial position. Using a double feedback in a dual loop configuration the system was successfully used for advanced precision testing.
